This hotel is a nice base for a trip in Palo Alto. The stuff is being really kind. I loved my room - reasonably spacious and retro with shared bathroom. The location is marvellous and unbeatable, in the center of the city. There is a great in-house restaurant, serving tasty dishes.

The room was extremely quiet. The bed was among the most confortables I have ever slept in. The architecture and furniture very charming.

The place is located right in the heart of the city, my room was big and had a vintage feel, breakfast was classic, and the check-in process was welcoming.

The location is perfect. Rooms are very clean!
During my 8 day stay, I did not have any positive interactions with the front desk staff. They were rude, at best. I have a physical disability and this front desk staff did nothing to help me with my challenges. Not at all handicap friendly or handicap concerned. The antique elevator has a manual door that is heavy and very difficult if you have paralysis and no one is willing to assist you. No air-conditioning. Only one washer and dryer and it is difficult to find it available. Lobby is dark and dingy and needs to be updated.

Room clean, neat, quiet. Lobby large and comfortable for reading, waiting.
For some rooms bathroom and shower are down the hall. Very little congestion and both very nice, but a small inconvenience especially in the middle of the night. Room did have a sink.

I did not like the fact the hotel still uses keys and has no latches on the door. If you are still going to use keys, you must have safety latches. G-D knows how many keys are floating around for each hotel room.

I liked the quaint old-world atmosphere and the excellent value for money in this location. The rooms and facilities are simple, but clean and neat and compfortable. I shared a bathroom and shower along the corridor but did not find this to be a problem at all - I never had to wait. The water was hot and there was a sink in my room also. I did not have any problem with noise from the street as my room faced the inner courtyard. I liked taking coffee in the main lobby with its comfortble sofas and tiled floor.

The room here is super spacious and has a cool retro vibe. You might have to share a bathroom, but the staff is really nice. They've got coffee, tea, and a little kitchen area, which came in handy. 🌟

Location, price and cleanliness. All staff were helpful and knowledgeable; some were more friendly than others. I would recommend to friends/family (although there is some concern about lack of AC in the summer). Also, I recommend small refrigerators for the rooms and free wifi.

Great location close to restaurants in downtown Palo Alto, shared bathrooms and showers were very well maintained and not an inconvenience at all.
tended to be a bit noisy with street traffic, probably very hot in the summer with no air conditioning.
